Virden Skatepark
Virden Skatepark is a small outdoor skatepark located in Virden, Illinois. The park was designed by American Ramp Company and opened to the public in 2013. Covering an area of 3,000 square feet, it offers a range of skateboarding obstacles that cater to skaters of all levels.
The skatepark features a mini ramp area that has a height of 4 feet and a small bowl area that is perfect for beginners or those who want to work on their transitions. There are also several street features, including rails, ledges, and stairs, that allow skaters to work on their technical skills.
The park is open to skaters of all ages and skill levels and has no admission fee. However, all skaters are required to wear helmets and sign a waiver before using the facility.
Overall, Virden Skatepark is a great option for skaters who are looking for a smaller, more intimate skateboarding experience. While the park may not have the same range of obstacles as some of the larger skateparks in Illinois, it offers a well-designed space for skaters to work on their skills and have fun. The park's smooth concrete surface and variety of features make it a popular destination for local skateboarders.
