Commissioner’s Skatepark
Commissioner's Skatepark is a premier skateboarding facility located in the city of Chicago, Illinois. The park is named after the late John Fritchey, who was a Cook County Commissioner and a strong advocate for the development of public skateparks in the city.
Commissioner's Skatepark is situated on the northwest side of Chicago and spans an impressive 14,000 square feet. The park features a state-of-the-art concrete surface and is divided into two sections to cater to both beginner and advanced skateboarders.
The beginner section includes a variety of low-level obstacles such as banks, ramps, and rails, while the advanced section boasts larger features including a 9-foot vert ramp, a 6-foot mini ramp, a pyramid, a quarter pipe, and a grind rail.
The park was designed by renowned skatepark builders Wally Hollyday and SITE Design Group, who are known for creating some of the world's best skateboarding facilities. The park also features a spectator viewing area, restrooms, and ample parking.
