Picture Rocks Skatepark
Picture Rocks Skatepark is a 7,500 square foot skatepark located in Marana, Arizona, on the edge of Tucson's city limits. The park is tucked away behind the Picture Rocks Park and is shared by both skaters and BMX'ers. Skateboarders are entitled to the park on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while bikers are given Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Once you ride the park for the first time, you'll realize why the park rules are this way. The skatepark's designers, SITE Design Group, along with the constructors, California Skateparks, built a biker dominant park with all of their features.
Upon first entrance as a skateboarder, you're greeted by a ledge with a step-up that serves as a welcome into the street section. The bottom ledge is perfect for skateboarders to practice their existing tricks and learn new ones, while the top ledge is a bit steep to ollie up from the flat ground. You'll need a lot of pop to get your trucks up there, it is doable, but designed for bikers. From this feature, you have an A-Frame with a handrail along with a box and a step-up. This feature is a lot of fun, again, you'll need a lot of pop to get onto the biker features.
The street section is a bit small with only three features, however, the combinations you can create are endless with the creativity the park's designers put into it. Moving into the bowl and vert section right after hitting the A-Frame, you have a little mogul to speed pump off of and hit the quarter pipes and spine. Just like the street section, there are endless combinations and flows you can put together in this park. The way it's set up given the space is really unique and on the bowl section you can go from hitting the spine and quarters as a halfpipe in one direction, switch it up and hit the pool vert in the other.
This park is great for any biker or intermediate+ level skateboarder in the Tucson area. The path to get to the park is very desolate and not many people go here, as a result you'll be one, if not the only person at the park.

Great place to skate and is definitely worth checking out.

The park is tucked away just past the Picture Rocks pool and is in a desolate part of Tucson. I got confused the first time I went there but immediately forgot about that after riding around the concrete bowls.
