McCarren Skatepark

McCarren Skatepark is a popular skateboarding destination located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. It is situated on the eastern side of McCarren Park and covers an area of 35,000 square feet, making it one of the largest skateparks in New York City.

The skatepark was designed by Steve Rodriguez and opened in 2010. It features a variety of elements that cater to different skill levels, including a large bowl, a street plaza, and a snake run. The bowl has a depth of up to 9 feet and is designed for advanced skaters, while the street plaza has a more street-style feel and includes stairs, rails, and ledges. The snake run is a winding path that connects the bowl and street plaza and allows skaters to flow between the two areas.

In addition to the skateboarding features, the park also includes seating areas for spectators, as well as a small building that houses restrooms and a concession stand. The park is free and open to the public year-round, weather permitting, and is accessible via public transportation.
